1. Answer: (B) ₹3,000 Solution:
Let C’s share = ₹x.
Then B’s share = 1.5x, and A’s share = 2 × 1.5x = 3x.
Total: x + 1.5x + 3x = ₹12,000
5.5x = ₹12,000 x = ₹12,000 / 5.5 = ₹3,000
So, C gets ₹3,000.


2. Answer: (A) 8% increase
Solution:
Initial area = l * b
New length = l + 20% l = 1.2 l,
New breadth = b – 10 %b = 0.9 b
New area = 1.2l * 0.9b = 1.08lb .
Percentage change = ( 1.08lb – lb = 0.08lb ). therefore 8% increase.


3. Answer: (B) 24 hours
Solution:
Work done by the filling pipe in 1 hour = ⅛
