TIPS TO CONQUER QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE IN CLAT 2025

Every year, a large number of students apply for the CLAT examination and more than half of them decide early on to leave the Quantitative aptitude section and are scared of it.

Here, I’ll be sharing my experience with the Quantitative section and how I was able to score 10/10 which turned out to be a score booster.

  1. “I DON’T HAVE MATHS AS A SUBJECT IN SCHOOL NOW”

Students generally are scared that they are not having maths as a subject in their higher school so they will not be able to attempt the Quantitative Section of CLAT. We often miss the fact that even in the syllabus provided by Consortium, it is mentioned that only elementary maths will be asked which we all have studied till class 10th.

 2.  LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS

There are certain basic topics which are so crucial, and you cannot afford to enter the examination centre without knowing those, some of them include:

  • Data Interpretation
  • Ratio and Proportion
  • Profit and loss
  • Percentage
  • Basic Algebra
  • Time & Work

By doing these topics, one can easily master the Data Interpretation asked in Clat exams which time and again has proven out to be of easy-moderate level.

3. PRACTICE 1 SECTIONAL DAILY

I know how hard this sounds since we are already bounded by dozen more things to do, but one sectional, every day, till your CLAT exam can do wonders for your practice.

One sectional in Quantitative means 12-10 questions which will hardly take 15 minutes of your time. Devoting this much time to QT can turn out with you having exceptional results.

4.YOUTUBE VIDEOS FOR TOPIC YOU FACE DIFFICULTY IN UNDERSTANDING

There are a bunch of YouTube channels which provide in-depth videos for every available topic out there, (some of which I am sharing below) one can easily take a week out of their schedule and make their concepts stronger to conquer Data Interpretation.

4. DONOT THINK OF NOT ATTEMPTING THIS SECTION

Trust me, this is the worst thing one can do in their preparation, since half of the students are already ahead of you if you have chosen not to attempt a whole section

which carries hefty 10-12 marks. It is pretty normal to make the choice of leaving maths in your early preparation days but with time, one realises the importance of QT when the marks become stagnant in mocks.

Following these tips could help level up your game in the Quantitative Section.

Team CLATED wishes you all the very best for CLAT 2025.
